Charity Does Not Diminish Wealth

When you donate, you can see the money leave your account. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that this visible change is not the whole outcome:

"Charity does not diminish wealth."

Abu Hurayrah, Sahih Muslim 2588

The Encyclopedia of Translated Prophetic Hadiths records this narration as authentic. Its explanation mentions protection from misfortune and compensation from Allah. A bank balance records the transfer, but it cannot measure every form of preservation or reward.
