Ways to Help When Money Is Tight
Sometimes there is no room in the budget for a donation. You may still be able to help with a careful introduction, a prayer, or some of your time.
If you share a cause, send the relevant page to someone who may genuinely care about it. Add a sentence explaining why you chose that page, then leave the decision with them. Avoid mass forwarding or language that pressures them to donate.
Dua can be made privately and often. The Quran records this prayer for fellow believers:
"Our Lord! Forgive us and our fellow believers who preceded us in faith, and do not allow bitterness into our hearts towards those who believe. Our Lord! Indeed, You are Ever Gracious, Most Merciful."
You can pray for people facing hardship and those serving them. You can also ask for wisdom about how to respond. The words can be simple and sincere.
An organisation may also need a skill you already have. Offer a specific task, such as proofreading a page, reviewing accessibility, translating a short document, or helping with a technical problem. Say how much time you can give and ask before starting. The organisation can then decide whether the offer matches a current need.
Choose one action you can complete this week. If you have a skill to offer, contact Ruhama with the details.
